The Royal Admiral was built at Lynn in 1828. Convicts were transported to New South Wales on the Royal Admiral in 1830, 1833, 1835 and to Van Diemen's Land in 1842. 1833 - Ship; Royal Admiral. Commenced fitting as a Convict Transport at Deptford on the 29 March. Surgeon Superintendent [Andrew Henderson] joined on the 3rd April. Guard embarked on the 13th. Sailed on the 17th and anchored in Kingston Barbour near Dublin on the 9th May. 220 convicts embarked on the 16 May 1833 and the ship sailed from Dublin Bay for Sydney on the 4th June and arrived there on the 20 October. Originally embarked with 221 convicts, 5 Died at sea, 1 was Relanded. 11 sick on shore, The convicts were described as 220 such wretchedly debilitated creatures ... William Hibbard/hibberd was 36 years old, born C1758, 5’7” tall, fair complexion, brown hair, grey eyes. His native place was Walton on Thames and he was transported for ‘Receiving from William Jones and Thomas Hall, 8 coach glasses, stolen by them. William Hibbard, a Harness Maker was on a statement of capital advanced by Gregory Blaxland between 8 February & 23 June 1807 & by John Blaxland between 29 August 1807 & 15 August 1808### William Hibburd, of Parramatta, received produce from the Hawkesbury Stores in April 1809. On 8 August he was on a list of all grants & leases registered in the Col Sec’s office. 1807: Married Charlotte Williams at St John’s, Parramatta – they had 8 children. Feb 1811: Received a spirit licence. 5/4/1823: was on a return of allotments in the town of Parramatta. 1823,24,25 Muster: Hibbard, William, CP, Royal Admiral 1800, 14, Harness Maker, Parramatta. 1828 Census: William Hibbard, 70, FS, Protestant, Royal Admiral 1800, Harnessmaker, living at Parramatta with Charlotte & Esther 12. 1844: William died aged 86 and was buried at St John’s CE, Parramatta – V1844 516 29,
