Joseph Hibbert was convicted at Chester on 02/07/1832 for stealing shoes and money. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemens Land on the 'Isabella' arriving 14/11/1833. Gaol report: bad, prev. conviction Hulk report: good Ship Surgeon's report: good Single man. Convict no. 32475 1833: Public Works 26/11/1834: Misconduct in being out of bed and kindling a fire in his Barracks room - 10 days solitary confinement and transferred to Port Arthur Penal settlement. 13/10/1837: Anderson - neglect of duty. 10 days hard labour. 10/05/1838: Anderson - absent without leave - admonished. Free Certificiate, no. 74, 1840.
