1832: On arrival in VDL, he was 23, single and a blacksmith. He had previous convictions for stealing in a dwelling house (6 months' jail) and had been "5 times in prison for assault". 1846, 4 August: He received a Conditional Pardon (see https://convictrecords.com.au/convicts/edit/80138).

CRIME: Riotously destroying a house - convicted along with 11 others of this offence. All were sentenced to transportation for life. All were admitted to the prison hulk Justitia at Woolwich on 25 January 1832. He was sent on 10 February for transportation. Cornelius HICKEY was 23, born 1809, according to the hulk record (see UK, Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books, 1802-1849).
