Charles Higgins, inmate in 1890 of the Ballarat benevolent Asylum Occupation: Labourer Place of Residence: None Birth Place: Islington, Middlesex ( trial place Middlesex ) Age: 77 in 1891 Parents Names: Peter & Elizabeth Status: Single Arrived in the Colony: 1852 , 17 years in Tas. ( where I assume he was a convict ) Religion: Catholic Ground for Application: Rhumatics Date of Admission 28 Oct. 1891 Period for which admitted: 243 days ( which means he was not discharged prior to the end of that year so was in the Asylum at least until mid/late 1892 )http://www.ballarathistoricalsociety.com/index.php/the-collection/bbsr
