William Hine was 28 years old when indicted for stealing - from a dwelling house, many household items, the goods of charles Hitchcock. William was 5'1 1/2" tall, with dark borwn hair and grey eyes. His conduct record was blank. 1832-35: Assigned to mr H Harrison. 4/6/1835: TOL 12/1/1836: Fined 5s., for drunkeness in Hobart. 1842 Census: He was living in Richmond, tas. 1840: married Mary Middleton, Hobart. 29/4/1851: Permission to marry Honora Griffin (per Lord Auckland) although there were 2 other men's names at abourt the same time for her. 1858: Charlotte Cook. 1866: Died Launceston.
