In the convict indent and muster roll, she is Mary Hines, of 'Moat' (Moate) County Westmeath, a country servant, 37, dark complexion, light brown hair, blue eyes (the Muster roll has her crime of house robbery, but a different age of 26) Her daughter Rose Hines, age 7, accompanied her on the voyage and was vaccinated by Surgeon Elyard on 17th June, according to his journal ('Rose Hinds'). In the 1822 General Muster : she is 'Mary Hynes' at the Government Factory, Parramatta. Her daughter 'Rose Hynes', is at the Orphan School at Parramatta. 10 Mar 1823 she is in the Sydney Gaol Entrance book for 'frequently absconding herself from her service', sentenced to 6 months hard labor at the Female Factory. In 1824 permission was sought on their behalf by Rev JJ Therry for the marriage of Mary Hynes (convict, John Bull) and John Morgan (convict, Adm Gambier). This was granted in June, however they apparently did not marry. In the 1825 muster she is at the Female Factory.
