Michael and his two brothers, James and Richard were all transported on the Havering 1849. 29/8/1855: COF - Description: Born 1831, Farm Labourer, Native Place: Kilkenny, 5'8" tall, ruddy and freckled complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, scar palm of right and, scar inside top of forefinger of left hand. Held TOL dated 30/11/1849. COF delivered to his brother Richard Holmes. 1856: Married Elenor Hassard at Grafton, NSW. -- No children found. 22/6/1900: Michael died at the Grafton Hospital, NSW and was buried at the South Grafton Cemetery.
