Holt is mentioned in Michael Flynn's book dated 1993 as being a partner of Sarah Griggs around 1800. She was given the keys to a house from Edward in 1807, Flynn (p.307) said: "In June 1807 the transfer by deed of gift of a house at The Rocks, Sydney, from Edward Holt to Sarah Griggs was registered."
