1841, 9 September: Richard Hooton received a Ticket of Leave No.41/1772 for the District of Bathurst (see NSW, Australia, Tickets of Leave, 1810-1869). 1848, 1 June: Richard Hooton, farm labourer, 37 (born 1811) and from Bedford, received a Conditional Pardon No.48/1021 (see NSW, Australia, Convict Registers of Conditional and Absolute Pardons, 1788-1870; Conditional 1848).

1832: On arrival in NSW, Richard Hooton was 21, Protestant, single and could not read or write. His trade/calling: ploughs, milks, reaps and sows. He had no previous convictions (see New South Wales, Australia, Convict Indents, 1788-1842).

1831, 11 August: Richard Hooton, 20, convicted for housebreaking, was received aboard the Justitia prison hulk. He was sent from there for transportation on 4 November (see UK, Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books, 1802-1849).
