Occupation: He was a Corn Porter Irish Convicts to New South Wales 1788-1849, by Peter Mayberry). The title usually referred to someone who worked at a dock. They unloaded corn from ships and moved it into storage, and vice versa (see Dictionary of Old Occupations at https://www.familyresearcher.co.uk/.

1820, 11 February: Admitted to Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin, for stealing 11 turkeys, three ducks and five hens. Tried on 21 February; guilty; 7 years' transportation (convicted along with George Behan and Patrick Quinn who only received 3 months' jail). 1820, 15 April: He was "sent on board the convict ship" for transportation (see Ireland, Prison Registers, 1790-1924; Dublin Kilmainham 1815-1910).
