"James was my 3rd Great Grandfather. He married Sarah Askew. They were hard workers but poor. James was the first licensee for the Coach and Horses Inn at Hartley now called Rosedale for one-two years. A home built in 1839. James was granted a ticket of leave on the 26th Oct 1836 at Bathurst. He was only 37years when he died. James and Sarah married on the 23.2.1837 at Bathurst. Sarah died one year later after James and she was only 33years old."
