He is said to have arrived in NSW as a convict on (26 10) 1832 after a voyage of 3months on DUNVEGAN CASTLE & moved to Bathurst in about 1835. He married Sarah (Askew) on 23 2 1837 at CofE Kelso. He became a publican coach driver at Hartley Kelso Meadow Flat. He died on 23 10 1848 age about40 at Meadow Flat & was buried at CofE Kelso. James (Howard) does not have an entry on this Website as yet. Sarah/Mary (Askew) was born in 1813 in London & baptised on 13 6 1813 at Stepney London. She was tried at Kent in 1833 age20 & arrived in NSW as a convict on 5 10 1833 after a voyage of 5months on HMS BUFFALO. She died about 1849 age36 maybe by childbirth.
