He was tried for stealing a horse or calico at Stafford Assizes on 13 8 1800, sentenced to Life. held on hulk PORTLAND at Portsmouth & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 8 1802 after a voyage of 7.5months on PERSEUS. He had a relationship with Hannah (Easbury/Hill her second relationship). He was Free by Servitude by 1809, indicating successful endeavour in the colony & favoured by authority. He died on 21 2 1839 age62 & was buried at Richmond Hawkesbury. [Some details taken from this Website] Hannah (Astbury/Easbury) was born on 30 8 1772. She married firstly ??? (Hill) & produced 2children. She was tried for petty larceny, on 17 2 1802, of calico of Richard (Friggleton) of Wolverhampton at Staffordshire Assizes on 25 3 1802, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 5 1804 after a voyage of 6months on EXPERIMENT. She was issued her Certificate of Freedom no.1491, I'm guessing, early in 1810; & was recorded as Free by Servitude in 1812. She died on 3 10 1851 age79 mother of 11known children-mostly boys.
