Jeremiah Howell was transported, along with 3 others, for demolishing a house by force (they set fire to it), during the Birmingham riots in 1839. Jeremiah was sentenced to be hung. Jeremiah was 5'9 3/4" tall, brown wyes, dark brown hair, florid complexion, single and had lost his right leg. 6/7/1840: 2 years probation. 23/11/1841: Gross Insubordination - Hard Labour in chains for 2 years and to be sent to Port Arthur. 10/4/1849: TOL 13/7/1852: CP No date of death found. NB: Not to be confused with Jeremiah Frederick Howell, per Earl Grey 1842.
