At the assizes for Northamptonshire, which ended on Friday last, the four following prisoners received sentence of death, viz. Samuel Howlett, for stealing a wether sheep, the property of John Chapman, of Old; ... Howlett, Andrews, and Smith, were reprieved before the judge left the town. Stamford Mercury, 20 March 1789.
