Samuel Hubbard was 17 years old and was transported for Stealing Iron from John Owl. Samuel's native place was Darleston. Father: Thomas Mother: Ann Brothers: Thomas, William, Humphrey, John and George. 8/12/1840: Misconduct, for being away from his work and fishing - reprimanded. Samuel was 4'11 1/2" tall, could read, single, Protestant, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, dark hazel eyes, scars on forehead, left arm, right wrist and back of hand. 27/4/1852: Steerage passenger Hobart to Melbourne per "City of Hobart. In December 1852, Samuel was at the Eureka diggings. 21/9/1855: Insolvency of Lucas and Veitch - Samuel had purchased 2 cottages and some land from the insolvents fo £615 and had paid in cash and cheque. 7/8/1855: Married Mary Gaulton at Brenanah, Victoria.13/5/1912: Samuel died at Burkes Flat, Victoria. 3/4/1849: TOL 10/1/1850: CP
