Reporting that his wife Ann was living in adultery with John Glass near Windsor (Reel 6061; 4/1779 p.73). Reply, 26 May (Reel 6019; 4/3864 p.145) 1824 - 5 July 1824. Certificate of Freedom. Aged; 36 years old. 1824 - 4 Aug & 7 Sep & 8 Oct 1824. Petition by Thomas Wright to have his wife Ann sent to him at Port Macquarie; including copies of his petition (Reel 6060; 4/1777 pp.191-191c; Reel 6017, 4/5782 p.111; Reel 6013, 4/3512 p.535) 1825 - 17 Jun 1825. Windsor, 17 Aug 1813, Asking for permission to get married. Thomas Wright, prisoner per Indian and Ann Hubbard, prisoner per Wanstead. Permission granted. ---------------------------------------------------- Col Sec Office, 4 June 1823. I have to request that Ann Wright, wife of Thomas Wright, a prisoner under sentence to Port Macquarie may be permitted to accompany him thither. Signed F.G. Goulburn, Col. Sec. -------------------------------------------------- Windsor Court House, 7 Sept 1824. To the Col Sec. F.G. Goulburn. Sir, I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 2nd inst. addressed to the Board of Magistrates enclosing a statement from one Thomas Wright a prisoner relative to his wife Ann Wright, alias Ann Hubbard; and I have now the honor to inform you that the said woman is resident in these Districts, having a Certificate of Freedom, but is now under Bail to appear at the Quarter Sessions to answer a charge of Felony; of which her husband had been apprized. I beg leave further to add, that the child the woman has with her has been adopted by her and does not belong to her husband, but to one Thos. Dillon, a man with a large family.
