David John Hughes stole a cap off the head of a 10year old boy and ran away with it. He was caught, tried, and sentanced to 7 years transportation. He married the widow Harriett Sarah Gaster in 1846. His son David married Mary-Louisa Stewart 1884. No definate date of death. poss 1873.
