Family connections for Hugh (Hughes) are: Some amendments added Jul 2025. HUGHES Hugh (Hughes) alias John (Davis) was born about 1793. He was tried at Chester Quarter Sessions, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW on 5 4 1818 after a voyage of 6months on BATAVIA. He is recorded as emancipist marrying Phoebe (Brady) on 12 4 1825 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. He was recorded in 1832 as a shoemaker. [Some details taken from this Website; where 3other John (Davis/Davies) are also found] Noted a Phoebe (Brady) is recorded as born in 1810-no parents given. A Phoebe (Brady) is also recorded as born in 1805 at her marriage.
