The 'Lady Kennaway' was built in Calcutta in 1817. A large ship of 584 tons. Transported convicted prisoners to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) in 1834, via Cork, Ireland. An inquest was held at Hobart Town, on the 27th ultimo, upon the body of Edward Hull, per Lady Kennaway, a prisoner undergoing a sentence of 2 years. Verdict--Natural causes. Tasmania Police Gazette, 7th July 1871, p110.




Absconder Absconded on the 5th instant, from the gang employed at the Queen's Domain, whilst undergoing a sentence of 6 months for larceny. Edward Hull, per Lady Kennaway 2. Since arrested by Hobart town Police. Tasmania Police Gazette, 11th Nov 1870, p187.
