Old Bailey On-Line. Born; 1782 Imprisoned; 1809. Age; 27 Tried; 1 Nov 1809. Age; 27 Transported. Age; 28 November 1809, trial of THOMAS HUMPHREYS GEORGE BAMBER , alias JAMES BISHOP (t18091101-2). THOMAS HUMPHREYS, GEORGE BAMBER, Theft > burglary, 1st November 1809. 817. THOMAS HUMPHREYS and GEORGE BAMBER , alias JAMES BISHOP , were indicted for burglarously breaking and entering the dwelling house of John Stockdale , about the hour of nine at night, on the 22nd of September , and stealing therein two carpets, value 6 l. his property . HUMPHREYS GUILTY , aged 27. BAMBER, GUILTY , aged 33, Of stealing, but not of the burglary. Transported for Seven Years .
