1825 Journey. On Saturday morning (3 Dec) arrived from London and Dublin, the ship Henry Porcher, Captain John Thompson, with 175 male prisoners, having lost one man - the rest in good health. She sailed from London the 10th of July, and Dublin the 5th of August. The guard comprises a detachment of the 47th Regiment, under the orders of Captain Donaldson. The Surgeon Superintendent is Dr. CARTER, R. N. Sydney Gazette, 5 Dec 1825.

John Bull, 21, William Hunt, 20, and Richard Fry, 15, for burglary in the dwelling house of Richard Goodwin, at Speldhurst, and stealing four silver tea spoons, &c. his property, and Elizabeth Davey, 23, for having received the articles, knowing them to be stolen. John Bull, William Hunt, and Elizabeth Davey, Not Guilty. Richard Fry, Guilty. John Bull, William Hunt, Richard Fry, were again indicted for breaking and entering the house of James Rogers, of Lamberhurst, on the night of the 3d Feb. and stealing two round frocks, a handkerchief, and a gun. The prisoners were apprehended at Tonbridge Wells on the 5th, with the stolen property their possession. Hunt stated in his defence, that Bull knew nothing of the robbery. Guilty—Death recorded. Kentish Gazette, 25 March 1834. The undermentioned convicts were on Thursday last removed from the County Gaol, and put board the Fortitude Hulk, at Chatham: John Bull, William Hunt, Richard Fry, Francis Kenny, Edward Reel, John Wigley, William Potter, Thomas Maytum, Edward Mnlraine, transported for life ; ...
