Theft: simple larceny. 19th October 1840 Verdict Guilty > pleaded guilty Sentence Transportation James Huxley b. 1822, 7 records JAMES HUXLEY was indicted for stealing, on the 29th of September, 1 pair of trowsers, value 12s., the goods of Benjamin Prew; to which he pleaded GUILTY.** Aged 18.— Transported for Seven Years. James Huxley was born in Dudley, Worcestershire, he was listed as being 21 years old on arrival in VDL, 5'2¼" tall, sallow complexion, reads, brown hair, hazel eyes, single, tattoos.
