John Hallard aged 21, for stealing wearing apparel, the property of Mr. Poole, and Hannah Irons, aged 40, for receiving the same knowing it to be stolen. It appeared that Hannah Irons, had for some time been in the habit of persuading her brother-in-law Hallard, aged 21 to steal from his master’s house, various articles of wearing wear, of course, as confidential servant, he had done. The noble chairman animadverted severely on the conduct of Irons, for encouraging the young man in his depredations, and expressed intention of punishing them with vigour. Worcester Journal, 17 Oct 1822.
