Trial 4 Mar 1842 for stealing money under false pretences Trade: farm labourer that can drain (trade skill), Coroner for Co. Sligo IRE, he was collector of rents in Hobart for many years Desc: married (wife, Sarah & 10 children at Kildare), 5'9" tall, literate, Protestant TOL 3 Sep 1846 CP recommended 15 Jul 1847 Certificate of Freedom 10 Mar 1849 In VDL he was appointed a convict constable, but was convicted of neglecting his duties twice for which he was sentenced to hard labour. In Jan 1849 he was given free passage for his wife & family to join him Died 11 Apr 1861 of stomach cancer in Hobart. A death inquest was undertaken
