Convict Notes
In July 1844 at the High Court of Justiciary, Sarah Wallace and Isabella Dewer were found guilty of assault & robbery on a man in Greenside Place (no further detail) and were each sentenced to transportation for 14 years. They were transported together. A case against a third accused was found Not Proven. - see Scotsman newspapers 17 July 1844 p 3 on 'High Court of Jusiciary'.
