Hello! Alex here. I too have been researching The Jackson and More and Armstrong Families in Rton and C.Q. John More and Johnie Jackson were Contract Teamsters in the very early days of C.Q. Teamster John More was present at the Cullin-La-Ringa Massacre and I if I remember correctly he was the one that rode to Rainworth Fort and alerted them of what had happened. George Elliot and Thomas Armstrong Contract Teamsters were also as we Cullin-La-Ringa.I think Thomas Armstrong is burried there. Alex.

John is son to John Jackson & Elizabeth Warry. He was 19 when he was tried at Surrey Quarter Sessions on the 1st July 1834 for "Robbing a Coach" He spent 12 months in a crowded prison"Hulk" he arrived in NSW colony on teh 25th October 1835. John could read and write, was 22 when he arrived, single, a shoemaker by occupation, and a native of Lancashire. John recieved his certificate of freedom in 1843. Married Ellen Bowen on 26th December 1843. Soon after marriage they moved to Brisbane for 15 years, then onto Banana for a short time, and then to Rockhampton. John died on the 8th April 1868 and buried in the DDawson Road Cemetry. In The Rockhampton Regional Ccouncil website , you can find John in the Church Of England Section 15 Grave 524, sadly no hhead stone or markings is there.
