In 1815, 1817 & 1823 the 'Ocean' transported convicts to New South Wales.

The Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser. Sat 13 Jan 1821. Page 3. Sydney. Peter Jackson, and Mary Jackson his wife, each possessing the indulgence of a ticket of leave, were convicted of receiving the said lead; knowing it to be stolen, and sentenced two years to Newcastle. 1821 - 13 January 1821. Transported to Newcastle for 2 years for receiving stolen lead. 1821 - 27 January 1821. Transported to Newcastle per "Lady Nelson" Wife; Mary Jackson also transported to Newcastle by same ship and same date 1824 - 9 March 1824. Former prisoner at Newcastle, now residing in Phillip Street, Sydney, wife is still in Newcastle and living improper cause of Life with John Shaw Strange a prisoner of the crown 1829 - Certificate of Freedom. Name Peter Jackson Age 53. Birth Year 1776 Native Place Manchester, Lancashire, England
