COURT OF CLAIMS. NOTICE is hereby given, that the following CLAIMS for DEEDS of GRANT of LAND and TOWN ALLOTMENTS will be ready for the examination of the Commissioners appointment for that purpose, under the Act of Council 5th William IV., No. 21, at the expiration of two months from this date, before which day any Caveat or Counterclaim must be entered at this Office. Due notice will be given of the days appointed for the hearings. Case No. 233 — Samuel Gilbert, of Parramatta, Gent. Twenty-four and a half perches in the County of Cumberland, parish of St John, town of Parramatta, allotment No 38 of section No 26 ; bounded on the west 81 links to the south boundary of No 16, Smith-street; by that boundary 84 links, and by a line 1 chain and 50 links ; on the north by a line 39 links; on the east by a line to Philip-street 2 chains 31 links ; and on the south by that street 1 chain 19 links. This allotment was leased by Sir Thomas Brisbane for 21 years from the 30th June, 1823, to Isaiah Jacques, who, it is alleged sold to claimant. The Australian, 3 April 1838.

NSW 1828 Census Index. Isiah Jacques, age 50, FS Glatton, 7 years, protestant, Barber, Parramatta. William Jacques, age 16, B.C. Sophia Jacques, age 12, BC. William is listed a second time: William Jacques, age 16, BC, Apprentice to W. White, Parramatta. I have not found a death for Ann Jacques/Jaques in Parrramatta district, but there is a death for a Jane Jaques in 1827. NSW BMD Death. Jane Jaques, Ref 457/1827, age 47, CB district.
