Convict Notes
The North West Post Thu 23 Mar 1893 An inquest was held at Heidelberg on Monday, before Mr Coroner Maxwell and a jury, of which Mr G. Brydon was foreman, touching tho death of James Douce,aged 70 years, farm labourer, who died somewhat suddenly on tho previous day. After hearing the evidence of two witnesses and Dr Stewart, who made a post mortem examination, the jury returned a verdict to the effect that death was caused through heart disease. Tasmania, Australia, Police Gazettes 1893 An Inquest was held at Heidelberg, District of Mersey and Latrobe, on the 20th instant, before P. C. Maxwell, Esq., Coroner, on the body of James Douce, aged 70 years, a labourer. Verdict:- "Natural causes."
