_____________ IRISH CRIME: Finns Leinster Journal, Saturday April 7 1798, p.4 “Waterford, April 5 “Yesterday evening, the business in the city court ended – that in the county court is adjourned until Thursday next, and this day the judges are to proceed to Clonmell [sic] where they are to open their commission tomorrow. We understand there are upwards of 60 persons to be tried in that county. " ... “Gliman [sic –typographical error for Gilman], Jeffers and Carthy have been found guilty, in the city court, of robbery, and sentenced to transportation for seven years.” "Carthy" was William McCarthy or McCarty who was transported with Gliman on 'Minerva'. Jeffers did not get sent to NSW after all.
