James Glare was 18 years old when convicted at the Old Bailey of stealing a £5 note from a shop. James was 5'3" tall, mid brown hair, brown eyes. 1831: Assigned to Mr Williams 1832-1835 Musters: TOL 27/6/1836: CP 7/4/1846: Extended. 3/2/1830: Married Eliza Mills (free) her given name was Sophia Eliza Mills (Born 1819 in the Colony and died 1860) They had 10 children. In 1846 James took his family, Eliza and 6 children and Eliza's mother to Port Fairy, they had another 4 children born in Victoria. James became a farmer, carrier and a bridge builder, a bridge he built on the Princess Highway near Port Fairy still stands. James is buried at Port Fairy, Victoria.
