James LEACH was convicted at the Middlesex G.D., London on 16 Sept 1830 for stealing spoons and other household items. Pleaded guilty. 7 yr transportation sentence. To be sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Lord Lyndoch' arriving 18 Nov 1831. Aged 16 yrs; single man. VDL: Assigned to various work services. a few notes of misconduct & punishments. 1833: Muster, at Campbell Town, VDL. 1836: Muster, at Longford, VDL. 1836: Muster, at Campbell Town, VDL. Pass holder status granted.
