Hospital - 24 April 1837
1832: On arrival in VDL, he was listed as 32 years old, a kitchen gardener and ...keeper who was married with 6 children (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-30$init=CON31-1-30p98). 1837, 24 April: James Martin, 36, died in HM Colonial Hospital, Hobart. 1837, 29 April: He was buried in the Parish of Trinity, County of Buckingham, and his burial was registered in Hobart (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/RGD34-1-1p212j2k).
1831, 19 December: He was convicted at Ipswich, Surrey, for stealing above the value of five pounds in a dwelling house. He had no previous convictions. 1832, 18 January: James Martin, 31, was admitted to the Justitia prison hulk at Woolwich from Kingston Upon Thames. He was sent from the hulk on 11 February for transportation (see UK, Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books, 1802-1849).
