Moreton Bay Convict Register. James Murray, per Larkins 2, Tried Cork, Spring 1829, Offence, cow stealing, 7 year sentence, Trade, Laborer. Colonial Sentence, Bench, Bathurst, 26 Jan 1831, for Unlawfully and maliciously stabbing a horse, the property of his master, 3 year sentence. Returned to Sydney, 15 Aug 1834. Description: James Murray, native place, Cork, age 20, 5ft 6 ΒΌ. Fair comp, brown hair, grey eyes. RC religion.

James Murray was indicted for stealing cow, the property of Mr. William Haynes, of Temple Hill. The cow was stolen between the latter end of November and the beginning of December; it was found in the custody of the prisoner near Bandon, who admitted having stolen it. The prisoner had been servant to Mr. Haynes for short time, and was only recently discharged.β€” Guilty. Cork Constitution, 4 April 1829.
