Genni Gregory on 13th April, 2020 wrote: Inquest was held into the death of Mary Parmenter nee McEvoy on 18th August 1847 at Berrima. She married James Sarjeant Parmenter on 25th Sep 1832 at Sutton Forrest.They had 7 children:- Mary, Charlotte, James, Daniel, Anne, Joseph and Susan.
At the late Colchester Sessions, before W. Sparling, Esq the Mayor, and C. G. Hound, Esq. the Recorder, John for stealing coat from William Ridley, the younger, of All Saints, and Thomas Morton and James Parmenter for dealing a watch, chain, and key, from Wm. Gardener, were ordered to be transported for seven years. The three prisoners are at this time in our Convict Gaol, and will shortly be forwarded with several others to the place of their banishment. Essex Herald, 5 May 1829. -------------------------------------------------- Convict Application to Marry. James Parmeter, per Lady Feversham, age 21, 7 years, Bond; and Margaret McEvoy, per Forth, age 20, 7 years, Bond. Date of Application, 21 Aug 1832, Place, Bong Bong, Cleryman, Mr J Layton.
Clarification regarding Oldbury. Oldbury was/is an estate in Sutton Forest NSW. James was detailed there to work. He was granted permission and married Margt Mary McAvoy on 21 August 1832. They had children born at 'Oldbury" and James died in Berrima in 1869. He did not go to Western Australia
James was sent out to Western Aust', onto a farm owned by James Atkinson, of Oldbury W.A. 1500 acres. James was married twice, and fathered 13 children.
