Convict Notes
Crime: Sheep stealing. Born c1814 in Seaford,Sussex Uk to John Simmons and Martha Picknell. Married Elizabeth Lyons (Widget/Woodgate/Woodyatt) in 23.3.1850 in All Saints Church, Parramatta Had no children but was step-father to Eliza Lyons (m benjamin Sunners)and grandfather to her children. Lived in Pennant St,P'matta and had a shop in Isabella St,P'matta. Elizabeth died from pneumonia on 19.10.1874 and James died from "stricture,haemorrhage from bowel" on 30.3.1887. Both are buried in All Saints cemetery,Parramatta
