Son: Mark Taylor, born at Daisy Hill, Victoria. 24th July 1855. Name of mother not known. James and his son Mark back in England by November 1857. James Taylor married a widow - Mary Ann Rolph - on 9th November 1857 at St Mathias parish church, Bristol,England.
James Taylor was tried and convicted, again, at Hobart on 04/10/1847 and received a further 10yr sentence.
I have an arrival date for the "MOFFATT" as 28/11/1842. The total time at sea was 106 days, direct.
Co offenders:-Stephen Hollister (aged 21), William Cole (aged 18). all three received a 10 year sentence to Van Diemen's Land. Shipped out aboard the "MOFFATT".
