Family connections for William (Jamieson) are: Some amendments added Aug 2025. JAMIESON William (Jamieson) married Ann (??? her first marriage) in England. He was sentenced to death & permitted to serve in NSW Corps. He arrived in Australia as a soldier on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship SALAMANDER; sources suggest he served also on QUEEN & disembark date was 5 12 1791. He was promoted to sergeant in 1792. In 1797 he leased land (141" 175') at Spring Row Sydney. In 1798 he was detached to (Grose)s company. In 1799 he became owner of 10acres at York Place. In 1801 he was promoted to Sergeant Major & detached with (Grose)s & (Paterson)s companies. He, a Sergeant Major, died on 20/22 4 1802 & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney as a Sergeant Major. William (Jamieson) does not have an entry on this Website as yet. She was living at Liverpool when she married firstly with permission George (Pinkerton also of Liverpool) on 24 12 1818 at St Johns CofE Parramatta Cumberland & produced 1child.
