The Convict Indentures state that Jane Henry was 41 years old. She could read; religion Presbyterian; status widow with 1 son and a native of Belfast. She was straw bonnet maker. Jane was convicted of receiving stolen goods at Antrim on 18 October 1837 and sentenced to 7 years transportation. She had one prior conviction and served 12 months. Physical attributes: Height 4 feet 10 inches; complexion fair ruddy and freckled; hair brown and eyes grey. Transport number 106. Prisoner number 105-38. Comment of indenture entry states that son William Henry, a prisoner, 3 or 5 years ago.
