Emanual Jeyne was a methodist and by trade he was a charcoal burner in England. Convicted of burglary and sentenced to life. Ticket of leave granted issued in 1833 and conditional pardon issued in 1835. After being a free man he changed his surname to Jay. Married Isabella, resided mosting in the Castle Hill district before retiring at Woodford island nsw. Buried at Old Maclean cemetary. Source - Direct descentant of this lineage. Karen Jay,5th generation granddaughter
