Certificate of Freedom granted 13 July 1826. Returned to England 1826, died January 1828 in Sherston Wiltshire.




Prison Hulk record, HO 9-8-3 p 31 Received from New Sarum, 5 Nov 1812: Peter Jobbins, aged 46, for a felony, convicted 11 July 1812, sentenced to 14 years transportation. NSW, 23 Apr 1813.




Peter Jobbins, late of Easton-Grey, butcher, committed to Fisherton Gaol, for trial, on suspicion of having feloniously purchased and received a sheep from his son, John, knowing the said sheep to have been stolen from Messrs S. and E. W. Rich, of Didmarton, in Oxfordshire. Salisbury Journal, 22 Jun 1812
Peters son John also involved in the sheep incident. John Jobbins stole the sheep , worth 4 shillings,and gave it to his father who was sentenced to death but was reduced to 14 years transportation.After 14 years he came back to England and died (I believe) in 1840 in Whitechapel 2nd qtr; B.M.D. REF 11 348.He was 75.John stole clothing, value 38 shillings and joined Peter in AUSTRALIA for 7 YEARS.He remained in Australia and died 1n 1855.
