John Haslam was convicted at Nottingham for Larceny and sentenced to 7yrs transportation. To Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Aurora'. John Haslam was convicted again, in the Colony of VDL at Launceston on 22/12/1847 for stealing handkerchiefs (from Mrs. Aaron Solomon). 7yr sentence. 2yrs Probation - sent to Port Arthur Penal Settlement. 12/11/1850: to Prison Barracks, Hobart. 23/09/1851: Ticket of Leave April 1852: Ticket of Leave revoked 06/12/1853: Ticket of Leave restored 21/11/1855: Certificate of Freedom
