He could read and write, had a dark ruddy and much pock-pitted complexion, browqn hair and eyes, lost front upper tooth, diagonal scar on left eye brow, had tattoos and scars etc. 12/4/1843:sentenced to 10 years transportation at Maitland for stealing in a dwelling house. 8/6/1844: TOL Passport - Penrith Bench. 24/9/1845: TOL passport - Windsor Bench. 15/5/1846: COF
