Convict Notes
He was convicted at Warwick Assizes on the same day as the Doolondondoo John Green was convicted and both were transported on the Hadlow. His wife Mary and son Albert migrated to Australia in 1823. In a sad petition to to the Governor she advised that her other child had died on the voyage out and requested that her husband should be returned from Bathurst in order to support the family. The 1828 Muster has John, Mary and Albert living in Elizabeth St (Sydney?) and his trade as carpenter. His indent on his arrival listed him as, Native of Ellesmere Shropshire, age 29, a "joiner" which is a carpentry process.
