HO-9-7_5 page 26. Received Seven prisoners from Lancaster, 16 Nov 1821. John Livingstone, age 29, CR Burglary, Tried Lancaster, 8 Sep 1820, Life, To NSW 11 Sept 1822, Morley.
John Livingstone, aged 29, and Daniel Burns, aged 16, were convicted of a burglarious entry into the house of James Leigh, at Liverpool, with intent to steal. The grating had been removed from a cellar window, and an entrance was forced in that way. Star, (London) 17 Sep 1821 John Watson, John Livingstone, and Daniel Burns, respectively had sentence of death passed upon them, but His Lordship said the crimes were not attended by any enormity that would make it necessary to pursue the sentence to its full extent.
