John M'Farlane (sic)late soldier 91st Regiment of Foot (quartered in Edinburgh) appeared 13 July 1807 at Edinburgh High Court on libel - on 14/15 October 1806, breaking into the cellar shop of Alex Cumming, shoemaker, College Street, Edinburgh and stealing a quantity of boots, shoes etc. Pled Guilty and sentenced 14 years transportation. Accused previous soldier 91st Reg of Foot, convicted 13 July 1807 at Edinburgh High Court - did on 14/15 October 1806 break into shop of Alexander Cumming, shoemaker, South College Street, Edinburgh and steal a quantity of boots & shoes. Plead Guilty.
