Convict Notes
The following prisoners were tried Tuesday and Wednesday .—John Poulter alias Pettitt, for stealing about two coombs of beans, the property of Mr. William Cater, jun., of Kirtling ; sentenced to be transported for life, (having been previously convicted.) Suffolk Chronicle, October 26 1833. --------------------------------------------------- Convicts.— This day, seven male convicts were removed from our Gaol to be put on board the York Hulk, lying at Gosport;—viz., John Poulter, alias Pettit, to he transported for life;... Suffolk Chronicle, 9 Nov 1833.
ADM 101/34/8 . Medical and surgical journal of the convict ship Hive from 18 November 1833 to 27 June 1834 by George Fairfowl, surgeon, during which time the said ship was employed transporting convicts to New South Wales. Folio 16: John Poulter, aged 38, convict; case number 20; disease or hurt, synocha. Put on sick list, 21 April 1834 at sea. Discharged 24 April 1834.
