John RIAN was convicted at Middlesex, London for housebreaking and stealing. Death sentence, commuted to Life transportation. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Richmond' 1821. Aged 23yrs. Assigned to work service, including at Invalid Depot, New Norfolk. Died 15 April 1830 (ref. Conduct Book)
