Convict Notes
The High Sheriff yesterday received an order from Government to prepare the following Convicts in our County Jail, for transmittal to Cork for transportation: John Callaghan, manslaughter, Patrick Linnane, abduction, John Nunan and John Madigan, stabbing a mare, to be severally transported for life ; John Galvin, Michael Molony, Patrick Molony, Denis Coffey, Pat. Jackson, and James Guerin, for seven years each, They were forwarded this morning, under an Officer’s guard of the 62d Regiment. The City Sheriffs received an order yesterday to transmit forthwith the following Convicts, under rule of transportation in our City Jail, viz. :—John Grady, John Walsh, Thomas Mahony, Patrick Reilly, Pat. Ryan, Thomas Hickie, John Ryan; Patrick Hickie, and John M‘Donnell. They were sent off this morning. Limerick Chronicle, 30 Sept 1829. (All the above were transported on Forth.)
