On Tuesday morning John Towers and James Fletcher suffered the final penalty of the law on the gallows at Hobart town, for the almost unparallelled murder of the two hawkers at St. Paul's plains, John Kellerman and Patrick Fitzgibbon. The murder as formerly described was committed on Sunday the 29th of April last, and the inhuman perpetrators had been secured, by the exertions of Major Grey and constables Davis and Crabb, of the Campbell town police.
